We analyse integrated reports from global peers in your sector and identify leading practices that can be adapted to your business.
REPORTING / INTEGRATED ANNUAL REPORTS
We bring your financial results, strategy and sustainability performance together in one coherent value creation story.
Integrated thinking · Value creation · Communications
Growing risks at a global and local level make it increasingly difficult to present financial and non-financial performance in isolation. Integrated thinking has become a strategic necessity. It considers the connections between an organisation’s resources and how they create value over the short, medium and long term. Established through the work of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), integrated reporting brings traditional financial reporting and sustainability performance together around value creation. Today, the IASB and ISSB are jointly responsible for the Integrated Reporting Framework within the IFRS Foundation.
An integrated annual report provides a holistic account of your financial results, business model, strategy and governance, explaining how the business uses the six capitals to create value over time. Over the past ten years, Finar has helped companies across banking, insurance, aviation, manufacturing and other sectors make the transition to integrated reporting.
01 / THE FINAR APPROACH
We analyse integrated reports from global peers in your sector and identify leading practices that can be adapted to your business.
We compare the indicators disclosed by peers and competitors to identify missing or underdeveloped KPIs, then propose a measurable set tailored to your company.
We use a clear materiality matrix to establish which financial and sustainability topics matter most to your business and its stakeholders.
We present financial and sustainability data in ways that can be interpreted together, making the connections clear to stakeholders.
We compare data across reporting periods, identify meaningful trends and explain what they reveal. We do more than report the figures: we show where the business is heading.
We treat the value creation model as the heart of your report. We distil the year’s essential financial and non-financial information from a 300–400-page publication into one clear, concise model.
A report should address areas for improvement and the actions committed to them, as well as achievements. We discuss this principle openly at the outset and work with clients to manage greenwashing risk.
We turn complex financial and sustainability metrics into accessible infographics, making the data clear and meaningful.
02 / STANDARDS AND FRAMEWORKS
We prepare your report using the Integrated Reporting Framework, developed from the IIRC’s work and now maintained by the IFRS Foundation. We complement it with one or more of the following standards and frameworks, according to your size, sector and audiences.
We connect the six capitals with the value your business creates over the short, medium and long term.

From the outset, and throughout the engagement. We hold weekly working sessions, particularly during double materiality, value creation modelling, gap analysis and content development. Our involvement continues beyond handing over a file.
We assess your financial and non-financial inputs, activities and outputs through the six capitals, bringing them together in a single model that reflects the year’s priorities. We validate the model with your management team.
Yes. However, our experience shows that dividing content and design between separate teams can affect consistency and quality. An integrated approach is much more effective.
We establish a data collection system that makes clear where each data point will come from, who is responsible and which format to use. This also helps the following year’s reporting process run much more efficiently.
Yes. We work alongside you throughout the process. Your responses to our questions provide the input we need to develop a report that meets international standards.
